Your writing ability amazes me. You take a subject that is usually boring, at least to me, and you manage to make an interesting article out of it. That takes real talent, and it is something I am still working on :) Thanks for sharing about Comcast, I hadn't heard of them before.

As a Comcast subscriber for over 15 years, I've yet to find ANY SPECIALS or PROMOTIONS directed towards a fairly large part of the population within the US, primarily that of the elders or Seniors.
My Mother-In-Law is 83 years old and has been a cable subscriber of Comcast for over 10 years. We've checked occasionally with Comcast as to special offers or discounts for Seniors and have yet to come across ANY !!!!
In these difficult economic times, still there are companies out there in the US that offer some help to our Seniors, be it small discounts of 10% to 50%. (OK, 50% is a HUGE discount !!).
Isn't it time that Comcast take these elders seriously ?? Give them a break of some sort. Perhaps special packages for Seniors which include some type of special programming packages along with telephone service AT A DISCOUNT !!
Not only would it benefit these people, mostly whom are on fixed incomes and cannot afford the annual cable bill increases, but too, it just MIGHT be an opportunity for Comcast to broaden their marketshare in the Telecommunications field. Imagine what AT&T, Verizon or another major communications giant could do with attracting this large group of individuals.
And for once, Comcast could possibly become a leader, a company that Seniors could look to and hold thanks to you.
